Downsized, Upgraded!
We had been living in our Eagle home for over 20 years, it was in desperate need of updating. We took a long look at remodeling and decided that we couldn't get what we wanted at a reasonable cost.
We stumbled upon Hammett Homes Cypress parade house and instantly fell in love with it: the architecture, the finishes, the lot size. We put our existing home on the the market and made an offer on the Hammett house. Things worked out for us and we are very happy in our new home!
Before closing it became clear that Jay and Craig wanted us to be happy with our new house. We made a list of the items that we wanted corrected before moving in. Jay had also made a list of things to fix ... his list was bigger than ours! They got busy and had the house ready by our closing date.
After living in the house for a little while we discovered a few more items that needed to be fixed. Jay always responded to our calls and promptly had the issues corrected. I am very picky, but Jay took the time to understand my concerns and usually got things fixed to my satisfaction.
Over the years we have had a couple of other homes built in the valley and it was extremely difficult to get issues corrected after closing. Service after the sale is a huge deal, and Hammett Homes has delivered for us.
Sometimes the issues aren't with your own home. When Hammett started building the house next door to us we had some concerns. Craig and Jay listened to us and made several adjustments to the house under construction. The small changes made a big difference to us. Once again, we were glad we picked Hammett Homes.
Has everything been butterflies and rainbows? No, nothing is perfect. But Jay and Craig have worked hard to make us happy. We highly recommend Hammett Homes.

We came on vacation last year and fell in love with Idaho. We had been in our home for 28 years and there was this incredible pull to leave and make a new home in Idaho. We have never looked back. I talked with several custom home builders. Jay Ross, the salesman for Hammett Homes, spent hours with me going over what they offered in their homes. All the while knowing I was interviewing other builders. He was very gracious. I was impressed with the Hammett Homes model that I toured. The home came with MANY upgrades included. It was not quite “my style”. But that was no problem as Hammett Homes because they offered many other home plans for our custom build.
I had a lot of very specific items I wanted to put into our new “forever home”. We decided on Hammett Homes for a lot of reasons... great location... fair price… willingness to accommodate us and Jay and Craig would be “hands on” throughout the build. And accommodate they did! My home had many, many additions that any other salesmen would have gone insane over…LOL. Even when Jay thought I was done…I added more. He always took my phone calls and got back to me right away. It was a difficult process as I was trying to build our dream home from more than 660 miles away. Jay took the stress out of the building process. He is knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Jay Ross and Craig Hammett genuinely were excited about building our home. It was a fun process. Don’t get me wrong…there were challenges. There always are in building a custom home. But those challenges were met with vigor and patience and all were addressed. I am very detailed and they got it right for me. :) They stand by every home they build.
It has been a great experience for us. I highly recommend Hammett Homes! My good friend will also be building with them. Our home is incredibly beautiful, well built and a dream come true. It has that wow factor!
Sincerely,
James and Sharron

Hammett Homes...Second to None!
Early into the “We are really going to build a home phase”, it became clear to my wife and me that we were not dealing with just an ordinary builder and his sales associate partner. Craig Hammett and Jay Ross were customer-focused and their service was extraordinary. We never heard the word ‘No’. We customized our Timber Wolf model and their response was always: “Let’s see how we can make it happen”. What a fortunate opportunity to say we now have two new friends for life.
Our collaboration led to the creation of a home reflective of our life style and taste along with the required accommodations we desired. Craig and Jay listened to our ideas and suggestions and were willing to think outside the box and communicated our changes to their subcontractors.
The Hammett Home subcontractors embraced our enthusiasm and became excited about our ideas. Our best ‘new concept’ was a four panel sliding glass door dividing the two car garage from the RV port. Our RV garage affectionately called the ‘Harley Museum’ is an awesome ‘themed’ entertainment center. We have added additional enhancements to affect a romantic dream home such as the ‘Harley Plaza’ outside the RV garage which has a stamped concrete patio with a Hot Tub and an adjacent shed which accents the yard living space nicely. The landscapers met with us and exceeded our design expectations to present us a yard worthy of a “Garden Tour”. They even dug a lap pool-sized hole for my pond and water feature.
The appointments through-out our home are stunning. The attention to detail on every nook and cranny is superb. The few minor “oops” were promptly addressed by Craig and Jay’s most excellent subcontractors who take tremendous pride in their art (i.e. work)
We wake up each morning wondering if this is really our “home”. Yes, our home is really that !SPECTACULAR! We are blessed to have found an exceptional builder in Craig and his sales associate partner, Jay Ross. They turned our ideas into reality!

Our daughter and son-in-law had been on the hunt for the perfect home for us in Idaho near them. They looked at many homes, but our son-in-law said he had found “the one” after touring a Hammett Home model. We found ourselves traveling the nearly 500 miles to see for ourselves. We were very impressed not only with the home, but with Jay Ross who was there to answer every question we thought of and give us the helpful information we needed. The Hammett Home team...

She cried. She didn't want to but she couldn't help it. The emotions that had resided within her during the weeks of construction finally overwhelmed her and rose to the surface. Make no mistake: These were not tears linked to any tragedy or sadness. Rather, the tears were more akin to a joyful homecoming. For that is what this day was.
Hammett Homes finally had, after many years of buying and selling other houses, delivered the home of her dreams. From the spa like master bath, open and airy kitchen with white cabinetry to the turret "princess room", complete with windows full of sunshine at no extra cost, she had arrived home.
And he was simply pleased that she was so happy. Well, perhaps that and the garage full of promising projects, upstairs bonus room with

Having retired from two careers, the first being a Navy Ship Captain and the second as a Senior V.P. of a major corporation, this past May 2014, my wife and I moved into what we felt would be our last earthly home. Having lived in 29 different residences and owned 13 of them, we felt it would be difficult to find a retirement home that we would be pleased with, particularly since our experience had found that builders put better quality in larger homes where their profit margins are greater. We were, however, surprised to find that our home here in Greenbriar was built by Craig Hammett, who was the 2014 winner in the Realtor's Parade of Homes, and has built a large number of quality homes in upscale neighborhoods like Eagle.
Our experiences to date have been most pleasing as we have looked carefully at all the finished details of the interior, extensive use of granite counter tops and oversized tiled shower, the quality of the cabinets and lighting and each of the appliances, etc. We were also most pleased with the assistance provided by the builder's Sales Representative, Jay Ross, who was very professional, thorough and helpful to us in ways well beyond those offered by most agents.

Hammett Homes has been wonderful in building a new home for us.
With all the talk of how stressful it is building a home, the experience with Hammett homes has been just the opposite.
To explain, it has been bitter sweet, sweet that the home was completed just in time for Christmas as promised with more than our expectations fulfilled. Bitter because the fun of working with Craig and Jay has come to an end.
We are left with one amazing home and very fond memories of working with these two Gentleman.
Thank you to Craig Hammett for putting us together with such incredible professionals. As well as securing our dream lot just in the nick of time from the next bidder. From the first concept working with the design team to the many contractors who we were able to work closely with to ensure our ideas were coming together.
Special thank you to Jay for coordinating and organizing nearly every phase of the build, as well as answering all of our five thousand questions. So many incredible people pulled together to make this happen.
If you want a builder displaying integrity and great character, meeting deadlines, hiring highly skilled professionals, listening to the clients needs,
leading, and organizing contractors (these are all important quality's to possess as a builder).
Than my belief is Hammett homes is Idaho's finest builder.
